Welcome!

Living Points Community Acupuncture Clinic is committed to offering skilled and compassionate acupuncture in a quiet and comfortable setting. Our sliding scale fees make this highly effective, ancient healing therapy affordable for everyone.

Acupuncture 101

Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used systems of healing in the world. It is simple, safe and relaxing. The World Health Organization recognizes acupuncture's ability to treat over 43 common disorders including pain, depression, digestive disorders, migraines, menstrual irregularities, carpal tunnel, and sinus congestion - just to name a few. Acupuncture needles are extremely thin and their insertion into the skin should feel similar to a mosquito bite, practically painless.

Community Acupuncture

We are a community acupuncture clinic. This means that people receive treatment in a group setting, in a large common room on either recliners or treatment tables. This allows us to make treatments more affordable and accessible to more people. A community setting makes it easy for friends and family to come in together. Many people find this comforting and when a collective energetic field is established it makes individual treatments even more powerful.

Clinic Guidelines

Please wear loose fitting clothes and turn off your cell phones before entering the clinic space. Make sure to empty your bladder and fill you tummy before each treatment. The soothing atmosphere in the clinic exists because the patients create it by speaking in whispers, respecting one-another’s space and things and coming to the clinic with healing intentions.
New patient visits can take up to an hour and a half. New patient visits start with an in-depth health history intake, some brief education on Oriental Medicine and philosophy, a few physical exams and then an acupuncture treatment. Follow up treatments commonly last 45min.to an hour and include a short symptom based check in and an acupuncture treatment.
New patient paperwork can be downloaded, printed and completed at home by clinking on the FORMS tab at the top or bottom of this page. Otherwise, please arrive 20 minutes early to fill out the paperwork at the clinic before your scheduled appointment time.

Our Fees:

Thousands of years of tradition in Asia, as well as research in the United States, shows us that acupuncture is most effective when treatments are frequent and regular. Our primary goal is to make acupuncture affordable enough for you to come as frequently as you need, in order to get the best possible results.
Acupuncture treatments are $20-$40 with a one-time paperwork fee of $15 for the first treatment only. You decide what you can afford. No income verification is ever required.
We are happy t o accept cash or check as payment for services rendered. We do not currently accept debit or credit cards.

Great Center for Healing!
I had a great massage and acupuncture treatment there. Courteous helpful staff, great parking, reasonable prices. Nice to have something like this on the Southside. A+
